Problems solved by technology

[0012] However, there is a problem that merely selecting an application (APP) to be terminated based on priority or frequency of use is not sufficient for reducing the amount of data to be saved
If the resident APP is not terminated, the data in the memory area occupied by the resident APP becomes the target to be saved, so the reduction in the amount of data to be saved becomes insufficient

[0038] First, the functional configuration of the smart device according to the first embodiment will be explained. figure 1 is a diagram illustrating the functional configuration of the smart device according to the first embodiment. Such as figure 1 As shown, the smart device 1 includes a terminal status management unit 2 , a saved data reduction unit 3 and an APP 4 .

[0039] The terminal status management unit 2 manages the status of the smart device 1 . The states of the smart device 1 include an active state and a dormant state. When the state of the smart device 1 transitions to another state, the terminal state management unit 2 notifies the saved data reduction unit 3 of the state transition.

[0040] When the smart device 1 transitions to the sleep state, the saved data reduction unit 3 reduces the amount of saved data by terminating the resident APP running on the smart device 1 . When the smart device 1 resumes from the hibernation state, the saved data reduc...

[0063] Incidentally, in the first embodiment, although only the resident APP is the target of forced closing at the time of transition to the hibernation state, the background APP may also be the target of forced closing. Therefore, a smart device that also forcibly closes a background APP when transitioning to hibernation will be described below in a second embodiment.

[0064] Figure 5 is a diagram illustrating the functional configuration of the smart device according to the second embodiment. For simplicity of description, the same reference numerals are assigned to figure 1 The units shown in function as the same functional units, and their detailed descriptions are omitted.

[0065] Such as Figure 5 shown, compared to figure 1 In the smart device 1 shown in , the smart device 1 a includes a saved data reduction unit 3 a instead of the saved data reduction unit 3 . compared to figure 1 In the saved data reduction unit 3 shown in , the saved data reduction unit ...

no. 3 example

[0075] Among the resident APPs, there are APPs 4 that perform display on the notification bar, such as APPs 4 that display radio field strength and APPs that display the remaining battery level. Also among the background APPs are APPs 4 that are likely to be used when resuming from a hibernation state, such as APPs 4 that display a home screen and APP launchers.

[0076] When resuming from hibernation, it is desirable to execute these APPs 4 as quickly as possible. If these APP 4 are not executed, there are missing parts in the screen display. Therefore, a smart device that does not terminate these APPs 4 when transitioning to the sleep state will be described below in the third embodiment.

[0077] Figure 7 is a diagram illustrating the functional configuration of the smart device according to the third embodiment. For simplicity of description, the same reference numerals are assigned to Figure 5 The units shown in function as the same functional units, and their detai...

Abstract

The invention discloses a device, and a save data reduction method. The device includes a memory that stores save data used to execute an application on the device, and a processor that is coupled to the memory. The processor instructs termination of a resident application which is a periodically executed application when the device is to be transited to a hibernation state which indicates a standby state with storing the save data in the memory, and activates the resident application of which termination is instructed when resuming the device from the hibernation state.

Description

technical field [0001] Embodiments discussed herein relate to a smart device, a saved data reduction method, and a saved data reduction program. Background technique [0002] Smart devices such as smart phones and smart watches are configured such that the period of the standby state in which no processing is performed is longer than the operating time thereof. For example, a smart watch is only operational for a limited time (eg, when a smart phone notifies the smart watch of an event or when a user changes a setting), and is on standby during other periods of time. Figure 17 It is a figure for explaining the operation of a smart watch. [0003] Such as Figure 17 As shown, for example, when there is an event incoming mail from the smart phone 9 in the standby state of Bluetooth (registered trademark, hereinafter the same as above) low energy (BLE), the smart watch 8 notifies the user of the event using vibration or LED or the like. event. The smart watch 8 performs an o...
