The invention proposes a white balance processing method, an apparatus and a terminal device, wherein the method comprises: identifying at least two target areas in an image; determining the first white balance parameters for the target areas; according to the sizes occupied by the target areas in the image, adjusting the weight values corresponding to the target areas; according to the first white balance parameters of the target areas and the corresponding weight values, calculating and obtaining the second white balance parameters of the image; and based on the second white balance parameters of the image, performing white balance processing on the image. According to the invention, the first white balance parameters for different target areas in an image are calculated respectively, and based on the calculation, the weights of the target areas are obtained; and the final second white balance parameters are obtained. The white balance processing method of the invention fully considers the influences of different target areas in an image and their corresponding weights on the second white balance parameters, and resolves the technical problem that the white balance processing accuracy in the prior art is not high enough.
