Abstract

The invention provides an image pickup apparatus, an image pickup method and a recording medium. The image pickup apparatus has a propulsion unit for propulsion of the image pickup apparatus. The propulsion unit moves the image pickup apparatus such that at least two out of the plural subjects and an image pickup unit do not interfere in position with each other, or such that the single subject and the image pickup unit do not interfere in position with each other; the image pickup unit us used for picking images of the plural subjects or the single subject. For instance, when the image pickupapparatus detects a line of the plural subjects (S402, S403), the image pickup apparatus is moved to move the image pickup unit to a position in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal directionof the detected line of the plural subjects (S404, S405), and the image pickup unit images the plural subjects or the single subject.
