The invention relates to a control module (10) for a vehicle that comprises a circuit board having an electronic component (14) for controlling at least one actuator; a dam applied to the circuit board and surrounding the electronic component; a potting material in which the electronic component is embedded and which is potted within the dam; an electrical contact surface for the at least one actuator and disposed on a back side, of the circuit board, facing a front side with the dam and the potting material; and an aperture extending through the circuit board and extending between the electrical contact surface; wherein a chip protection element is inserted into the opening and projects on the back side of the circuit board and provides a partition wall between the contact surfaces.
