Abstract

A lever type connector allowing lever swing suppression and unlocking by force having proper intensity to be possible is provided. The lever type connector comprises a wire cover (30) and a rotating lever (40) spanning the wire cover (30) along the width direction, and two ends of the rotating lever are supported by the wire cover (30) in a free rotating way. The rotating lever (40) rotates between a release position where mated connectors are released and an embedded position where mated connectors are embedded. In addition, the wire cover (30) has a cover side acting part (33) and a cover side locking part. The cover side acting part (33) is pushed by the rotating lever (40) rotating to the embedded position so that elastic deformation is produced, and the rotating lever (40) is acted towards the release position. The cover side locking part (34) stops the rotating lever (40) rotating to the embedded position so as to lock the rotating lever (40). The cover side acting part (33) andthe cover side locking part (34) are disposed at different positions at the width direction of the wire cover (30).
