Abstract

The invention discloses a starter feed for Odontobutis obscura prelarva and relates to a fish feed in the aquaculture field. The feed contains the following ingredients (by weight): 46-51% of fish meal, 12-17% of limnodrilus hoffmeisteri powder, 15-20% of soybean meal, 7-18% of alpha-starch, 1-2% of shrimp flavoring, 0.2-0.6% of vitamin, 0.3-0.9% of mineral matter and 3-6% of fish oil. By a microencapsulation process, a sinkable microcapsule feed is prepared. By adding the shrimp flavoring and limnodrilus hoffmeisteri powder into the feed, attractant effect of the feed is enhanced. The microcapsule feed has strong palatability and good water resistance. Starting rate and survival rate of Odontobutis obscura prelarva are greatly raised, feed wastage is reduced, and water pollution is lowered. The sinkable microcapsule feed is more suitable for feeding habit of Odontobutis obscura so as to guarantee stability of a prelarva nursing pond. The feed formula has a wide source of raw materials, contains balanced nutrients, and meets growth requirements of Odontobutis obscura prelarva. By the use of the feed, labor intensity of artificial breeding of Odontobutis obscura will be reduced, andfurther development of artificial breeding of Odontobutis obscura and breeding industry is promoted.
