The method comprises the steps of: at a proxy process, when a process in an APP requests to call preference dataset by a user, sending a preference data calling request to a content calling module CP (Content Provider); after obtaining the preference data calling request from the content calling module CP, calling a preference data calling SP (Shared Preferences) interface to obtain the preference data; returning the preference data to the proxy process; and after the preference data is received at the proxy process, returning the preference data to the process in the APP. According to the method, the unified execution of the process of obtaining the preference data is realized by the content calling module CP, so that the problem of the inconsistency of the preference data, generated in the process of directly calling the preference data by multiple processes in a multi-process APP, can be avoided.
