Benefits of technology

This patented technology uses two layers - one layer for sensing and communication while another layer acts both functions like transmitting data wirelessly from the device's main unit (the controller) back into its own battery or power supply. By combining these features together it can automatically adjust water levels according to environmental factors such as temperature and humidity. It also allows farmers to see how their crops are doing well by providing them with more accurate feedback about what they have done beforehand during plantings.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical solution described in the text describes two main issues with current methods used for controlling irrigations within an area such as rice fields or crop production zones that lack access to electricity supply. These limitations make it challenges to efficiently manage these areas while ensuring proper management practice without overloading their own energy sources (electric). Additionally, conventional sensors may be expensive due to high maintenance costs associated with them.

Abstract

The invention discloses an irrigation system based on ZigBee network and D-S data fusion. The system comprises a central monitoring center, a ZigBee Sink node connected with the central monitoring center, multiple routing nodes communicating with the ZigBee Sink node through the ZigBee network and multiple sensors communicating with the routing nodes through terminal nodes; the routing nodes are connected with an electromagnetic valve; the central monitoring system is connected with a mobile phone and an expert system. According to the system, the soil moisture content of an irrigation area ismonitored by a self-adapting sensing network, data is in transmission with a double-layered network of a wireless sensor network based on ZigBee in a short range, the data is in transmission with a double-layered network of a wireless network based on GSM in a long range, agricultural automatic precision irrigation is achieved by adopting a control method of the combination of automatic control and a manual remote mode, and soil moisture content monitoring and remote controlling are achieved in real time.
