Abstract

A cloud workload distribution system and method are disclosed. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a system capable of providing users with automatic guidance on workloads to be issued. The invention matches the user's workload profile file according to various historical data sets, and facilitates the user to select cloud provisioning for various workloads. The system is capable of automatically recalibrating workload profiles during cloud provisioning if the user so desires, while providing a manual selection option for cloud provisioning. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a system and method for obtaining a workload distribution scale factor mechanism using historical data sets. Further, the system and method can also automatically or manually readjust the provisioning scaling factor according to the workload profile for cloud provisioning.

Description

Technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the distribution of resources in the networked computing environment (such as cloud computing environment), and in particular, there is a system and method using historical data-based methods for resource issuance. Background technique [0002] The networking computing environment (such as cloud computing environment) is a strengthening of the previous grid environment, in which multiple grids and other computing resources can be further strengthened by one or more additional abstraction layers (such as cloud layers), which can be further enhanced. End users of a single seamless resource pool. These resources can include physical or logical computing engines, servers, and devices, device memory, storage devices, and the like. [0003] Cloud computing services are typically present in a relatively static hardware pool, by deploying and reconfiguring operating systems and applications to meet the user's calculation needs. With...
