Embodiment Construction

[0116] Specific embodiments of the present invention are described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0117] Various details are shown herein when referring to certain embodiments. However, the invention may also be implemented in ways other than those described herein. Modifications to the embodiments discussed may be made by those skilled in the art without departing from the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not limited to the specific embodiments disclosed herein.

[0118] Specific biological events produced by a patient are governed by the patient's ANS. Thus, the ANS status of a patient can be determined by appropriate analysis of data representative of a particular event. Furthermore, since a patient's ANS condition can be related to one or more conditions for which the patient may seek treatment, analysis of data representing biological events can be used as a quantitative measure of the one or more conditions.

Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a system for analyzing the state of autonomic dysfunction of an autonomic nervous system to care for a patient. In some embodiments, the method comprises the stepsof measuring the condition of the autonomic nervous system and calculating the root of the sum of values. One or more values are equal to the sum of differences rising to an index, and the differences are equal to the difference between a first index value and a second index value respectively. The first index value and the second index value are calculated based on the condition of the autonomicnervous system respectively. The method further comprises the step of displaying the representation of the calculated root through a display unit.
