The moxibustion stick is prepared from folium artemisiae argyi floss and a combustion improver, wherein the mass ratio of the combustionimprover to the folium artemisiae argyi floss is (1 to 2) to 1,000. Compared with a traditional moxibustion stick, the smoke safety type moxibustion stick is characterized in that the combustion improver is added, i.e., potassium nitrate, so that the folium artemisiae argyi floss can be sufficiently combusted; the content of benzene compounds, formaldehyde and 16 types of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, which are generated in a combustion process of the moxibustion stick, is reduced and adverse effects on human bodies are greatly reduced; meanwhile, a health-care effect of the moxibustion stick is also kept, so that the smoke safety type moxibustion stick is a health-care product which is beneficial and harmless to the human bodies.
