Abstract

The invention provides a rice gene OsGDSL1 and application thereof in resisting rice blast. The open reading frame of the gene is 1119 bp and encodes a GDSL-like lipase composed of 372 amino acids. The invention obtains the OsGDSL1 overexpressing rice plants by constructing the rice overexpression vector pCXUN-HA-OsGDSL1 by means of agrobacterium-mediated rice mature embryo transformation technology, and the rice blast fungus inoculation experiment is carried out on a wild type and rice plants with overexpressed OsGDSL1. The results show that the overexpression of OsGDSL1 increases the resistance of rice plants to magnaporthe oryzae, indicating that the gene can be used to breed rice varieties resistant to rice blast.
