The method comprises the following steps that after soil sterilization, the certain amount of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi is exerted; target plants are transplanted or seeded; after the plants normally grow for a period of time, water supplying is stopped for seven days or above, all growth indexes start to be monitored, the growing situation, the root shoot ratio, the nutrient and the moisture utilization efficiency of the target plants are calculated, and dataare preserved into the .sav format through an SPSS according to the certain mode; and a structural equation model is built through AMOS software according to the relation between independent variablesand the relation between the independent variables and dependent variables, and reasons for the influences of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus inoculation on the plant moisture utilization efficiency are explained according to the operation result of the structural equation model. The reasons for improving the plant moisture utilization efficiency can be explained well through a structural equationmodel analyzing method, and the obvious effects are brought to more effective improving of the plant moisture utilization efficiency by further taking manual adjusting and controlling measures duringvegetation recovery of arid regions.
