Embodiment Construction

[0036] The present invention will be further described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and embodiments.

[0037] Please refer to figure 1 , the present invention provides an improved Thevenin modeling method for modular multilevel converters,

[0038] The switching device is equivalent to a variable resistor R 1 , R 2 , to discretize the capacitance of the sub-module, so that it can operate in the electromagnetic transient environment of the capacitor electromagnetic transient equivalent circuit such as figure 2 Shown:

[0039] Its transient process can be described as:

[0040]

[0041] Using the trapezoidal integration method, write (1) into formula (2)

[0042]

[0043] Rewritten from formula (2) into

[0044] u c (t)=i c (t)R c + U c (t-Δt) (3)

[0045] u c (t-Δt)=u c (t-Δt)+i c (t-Δt)R c (4)

[0046] In the formula: Δt is the simulation step size, R c =Δt / 2C is the capacitance equivalent resistance; U c (t-Δt) is the equivalen...

Abstract

A method for improving Thevenin modeling of modular multi-level converter is disclosed. A traditional Thevenin model method is improved, an improved Thevenin modeling method of modular multi-level converter is proposed, retaining internal and external characteristics of converter, and realizing high-efficiency simulation of converter. The model can update the capacitor voltage of each sub-modulein the converter, so that the equivalent modeling can meet the research of control strategy, circulating current rejection, capacitor voltage sharing and so on. In the process of improving Thevenin modeling, the capacitance of the sub-module is discretized, which is equivalent to the capacitance resistance and the capacitance history voltage source. The key to simplify the equivalent calculation process is to update the equation of the capacitor history voltage source through further derivation so that it is related to the last step of the history voltage source, which reduces the calculationamount of the update process and reduces the complexity of simulation.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an improved Thevenin modeling method for a modular multilevel converter. Background technique [0002] With the development of modular multilevel converters (MMC), flexible DC transmission has shown great advantages in today's high-voltage, large-capacity complex transmission environment, which has greatly promoted the progress of flexible DC transmission technology. However, the efficiency of large-scale simulation modeling is extremely low, and it is limited by several aspects such as modeling methods, mathematical theories, experimental methods and computer hardware, which seriously restricts the research on issues related to flexible DC transmission systems. Therefore, the establishment of a simulation model that can reflect the general operating rules of the converter and retain the characteristics of the converter has an important guiding role in the analysis of the operating characteristics of the flexible HVDC system, t...
