Abstract

The invention discloses a networking method and device as well as a terminal. The method comprises the following steps: a client STA sends an identity verification request frame to an access point (AP); the STA receives an identity verification response message sent by the AP; when the identity verification response message carries information indicating submitting of an individual label, the STAsends a secondary identity verification request frame to the AP, wherein the secondary identity verification request frame carries individual label selection information; the STA receives a secondaryidentity verification response message sent by the AP; and a connection is established between the STA and the AP. By virtue of the scheme of the invention, users can be divided into groups by virtueof individual labels in a networking process, the access point (AP) can push messages according to different user groups, and compared with an existing way of distinguishing by virtue of the traditional labels such as a MAC address and an IP address, a more flexible message pushing method is provided.
