Abstract

The inertial locking mechanism is used for a box body with a cover plate and capable of withstanding inertia generated when a speed suddenly changes or a collision occurs. The inertial locking mechanism comprises a rotating shaft which enables the cover plate to rotate relative to the box body so that the cover plate can be ina folded position or an unfolded position and a locking member with a weight member connected to an elastic member. When the inertial force applied is greater than a predetermined level, the lockingmember is displaced and abuts against the rotating shaft to restrict the rotation of the rotating shaft to lock the cover plate in the folded position, and after the inertial force is removed, the locking member returns to an original position to unlock the locking of the rotating shaft, and the cover plate can be expanded and rotated to the unfolded position.
