The throttle opening adjusting method is applied to an ECU in a vehicle; and the ECU has a self-learning mode; in the self-learning mode, the vehicle is in a static state. The throttle opening adjusting method comprises the steps of obtaining an actual throttle opening when a driver performs at least one stepping action on an accelerator pedal on the basis of at least one expected throttle opening when entering the self-learning mode, wherein the expected throttle opening is a throttle opening in an accelerator pedal contour map; and on the basis of the actual throttle opening and the expected throttle opening, updating a throttle opening in the accelerator pedal contour map so that the updated accelerator pedal contourmap is adaptive to a driving behavior of the driver.
