Abstract

The invention discloses a method for detecting the amount of particulate matter captured by a diesel particulate matter filter (31) of a diesel engine. The method at least comprises the following steps: the environment temperature and/or the environment pressure of an environment where the diesel engine is located are detected, and other parameters needed to calculate the amount of the particulatematter are obtained; and the amount of the particulate matter is calculate based on the other parameters and further based on the detected environment temperature and/or environment pressure at leastunder the predetermined conditions. The invention further discloses a corresponding system for detecting the amount of the particulate matter captured by the diesel particulate matter filter (31) ofthe diesel engine. By introducing the environment temperature and/or the environment pressure, the calculation accuracy can be improved, thus the amount of the captured particulate matter can still beaccurately calculated especially under the conditions of extreme cold (such as minus 30 DEG C) and high altitudes (such as 4200 m), regeneration instructions can be accurately provided, and corresponding regulatory requirements are met.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method for detecting the amount of particulate matter captured by a diesel particulate filter of a diesel engine and a corresponding system. Background technique [0002] At present, engines using fossil energy still occupy a dominant position, mainly including gasoline engines and diesel engines. Among them, diesel engines are widely used in some fields, especially heavy-duty vehicles, due to their advantages such as large torque and good economic performance. [0003] However, for diesel engines, exhaust gas containing particulate matter, nitrogen oxides and many other harmful components will be produced during operation. Particulate matter is mainly carbon, commonly known as soot, which not only presents as smoke and pollutes the air, but more importantly, it can penetrate into human lungs and cause lung damage. These particles often also adsorb many organic substances with varying degrees of mutagenic and carcino...
