Abstract

The elevator monitoring device comprises one or more sensors and a universal terminal of the Internet of things, wherein the sensor is attached to elevator equipment and used for collecting operation state data of the elevator equipment; and the universal terminal of the Internet of things is attached to the elevator equipment and is connected with the sensor to obtain output data of the sensor and forwards the output data to a cloud service platform of the Internet of things through a gateway, wherein the sensor and the universal terminal of the Internet of things do not belong to original equipment of an elevator system. The method comprises the steps of collecting monitoringdata of the sensor attached to the elevator equipment at a regular time or by a triggered action; classifying and processing the monitoring data of the sensor, and analyzing abnormal level conditionsof elevator states associated with the monitoring data; and if the abnormal level is confirmed to reach a fault level, informing the related person for overhauling.
