The terminal crimping die comprises a terminal conveying part and a crimping forming part, wherein the crimping forming part comprises an upper pressing die and a lower pressing die; a line releasing table is disposed on the other side of a crimping cavity; the other end of a sliding bar is provided with a sliding slot corresponding to the line releasing table; the bottom of the sliding slot is provided with a contact piece I; the other end of the sliding bar is provided with a contact piece II; and a counter is arranged in the line releasing table. The working method comprises: (1) a placing process of a wire to be crimped; (2) a counting process of the counter; (3) a taking-out process of the wire. The wire to be crimped passes through a wire passage which has a function of straightening the wire and a function of conveniently aligning the wire with the crimping cavity. When the wire passes through the wire passage, the contact piece I and the contact piece II are brought into contact with each other, and the counter is powered on to complete the counting.
