Abstract

The present application discloses a video encoding method and device for implementing parallel processing of WPP threads in a process for CTU encoding. The method includes the following steps: multiple WPP threads are created, the first thread is used to encode the CTU, and corresponding HVP candidate information is created; starting from the second WPP thread, each WPP thread is started in turn;the HMV candidate information corresponding to the N CPUs of the previous WPP thread is obtained as the initial HMV candidate information of the current WPP thread, and the CTU is encoded to generatecorresponding HMVP candidate information. Starting from the second WPP thread, each WPP thread can obtain the HVP candidate information corresponding to the N CPUs of the previous process. The CTU isencoded in turn, so as to achieve parallel processing of multiple WPP threads and improve the efficiency of HMV-based video encoding.
