Abstract

The device comprises supporting legs, fixing seats, locking devices and travelling devices; the fixing seats are fixedly connected to the supporting legs of the crane; the locking devices are arranged on the side surfaces of the fixing seats; the travelling devices are fixedly connected to the bottoms of the fixing seats; universal wheels are mounted on the locking devices; and permanent magnets are laid on the ground belowthe travelling devices, and the permanent magnets with S-poles facing upwards and N-poles facing downwards and the permanent magnets with N-poles facing upwards and S-poles facing downwards are arranged alternately. According to the device and the method, excitation coils are electrified with current in different directions, so that magnetic poles of the excitation coils are changed alternately,according to the theory that magnetic fields S and N attract each other, trackless travelling of the crane is realized, the movement range of the crane is enlarged, and the flexibility of the crane isimproved.
