The Lactobacillus paracasei YX1 can be used in fermenting-processing of kitchen waste, thereby realizing rapid reduction and thorough decomposition of the kitchen waste. A kitchen waste processing apparatus coupled with the Lactobacillus paracasei YX1 utilizes the Lactobacillus paracasei YX1 so as to perform rapid fermentation on kitchen waste, so that the kitchenwaste can be reduced by 95% or above within 5 days; and moreover, the reduced kitchen waste is transformed into humus which is rich in nutrients and free of peculiar smell.
