Abstract

The invention discloses a display device and an electronic device. An adjusting module with an adjustable state is adopted; in a first state, the adjusting module can convert externally incident non-polarized light into first polarized light to be incident on the display module. The display module converts the first polarized light into second polarized light through reflection; the adjusting module converts the second polarized light into second linearly polarized light which cannot penetrate through the adjusting module so that the emergence of light reflected by the display module can be blocked; in the second state, the adjusting module can convert external incident non-polarized light into first linearly polarized light, the display module reflects the first linearly polarized light to the adjusting module through reflection without changing the polarization characteristic of the first linearly polarized light, the adjusting module can emit the first linearly polarized light, andthe light reflected by the display module can be emitted. According to the technical scheme, the light reflected by the display module can be selectively emitted out of the display device or the lightreflected by the display module cannot be emitted out of the display device.
