Embodiment 1

[0039] An efficient breeding method for Jersey dairy cows, comprising the following steps:

[0040] S1. Calf stage

[0041] After the calf is born, immediately clear the mucus in and around its mouth, nasal cavity, and feed colostrum within 1 hour; start feeding normal milk after 5-7 days; start feeding calf starter after 7-10 days, which is mixed with normal milk or artificial milk. Feeding with milk; start feeding fresh forage after 10-15 days, and feed with calf starter, regular milk or artificial milk, and start feeding dry food after 15-30 days, and feed with calf starter, artificial milk and fresh forage, until 3 months of age;

[0042] From 3 months old to 6 months old, feed the calf period feed with a concentration-to-rough ratio of 33:67 to 43:57.

[0043] According to the mass percentage, the starter includes: 80% of calf concentrate feed, 10% of molasses bean husk, and 10% of alfalfa grass powder.

[0044]The calf concentrate feed includes the following raw mater...

Abstract

The present invention provides an efficient breeding method of Jersey cows and belongs to the field of livestock breeding. According to different growth stages of a calf stage, a rearing period, a perinatal period, a lactation period and a lactation-stopping period, group management is conducted to prepare different diet structures and implement feeding management techniques at the various periods. In preparation of diets, diet palatability, calf intake, rumen development characteristics and growth and development requirements are fully considered to determine the appropriate raw materials andproportions, and a calf structural starting feed in the lactation period and a weaning calf diet are prepared; and aiming at physiological needs of the different periods of the lactation, the nutrition control technology is used to ensure stable and high yield of the dairy cows. The breeding method can effectively promote growth and development of Jersey calves and improve milk yield and milk quality of the Jersey cows.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of animal husbandry, in particular to an efficient breeding method for Jersey dairy cows. Background technique [0002] Jersey cow is a world-renowned small and medium-sized dairy cow breed. This breed is widely popular in developed countries in the world's dairy industry due to its excellent characteristics in terms of body appearance, lactation performance, adaptability, cattle temperament, and milk quality. The breed is genetically related to Swiss Brown, Derwen and Kerry, but not to Holstein. The breed was known as the Alderney during the early days of the breed's Jersey breeding. The Jersey is one of the smallest of the major dairy cattle breeds (Kerry and Dexter are smaller). [0003] Guangxi introduced Jersey cattle from New Zealand for breeding in 2004. Over the years, exploration and research have been gradually carried out in the feeding, adaptability, performance measurement, breeding technology, hybrid ...
