Abstract

A method for performing handover of a user equipment UE from a source base station to a target base station, the method comprising the UE providing a measurement report to the source base station, the measurement report including beam-related measurements of the target base station; the source base station providing a handover request message to the target base station, the handover request message including the measurement report from the UE; the target base station providing a handover request confirmation message to the source base station, the handover request confirmation message having a handover command ; and the source base station provides mobility control information to the UE based on the handover command from the target base station.
