The method for detecting the air conditioner comprises the steps that the rotating speed parameters of a fan are detected, wherein the fan is a fan of an indoor unit of the air conditioner; whether fan stalling detecting conditions are met or not is judged according to the change of the rotating speed parameters of the fan; if yes, the fan rotating speed sequence within a preset time is acquired, wherein the fan rotating speed sequence comprises multiple fanrotating speeds detected within the preset time; and whether the fan is stalled or not is determined according to the fan rotating speed sequence.
