Embodiment Construction

[0030] The specific technical solutions of the present invention are described in conjunction with the examples.

[0031] Such as figure 1 As shown, the terahertz radar mainly includes antenna, transmitter, receiver and power meter. Terahertz radar is different from microwave and millimeter-wave radars. The transmitter of terahertz radar can emit terahertz signals and feed them to the antenna, and then radiate to the icy road through the antenna. The antenna can be a horn antenna, a Cassegrain antenna, or an antenna array. After road scattering, the backscattered signal is collected by the same antenna, and after passing through the transceiver switch, it is sent to the power meter through the receiver

[0032] Such as figure 2 As shown, this embodiment applies the terahertz radar to the icy road surface. It can be installed inside the lights when radar is used for road detection. The radar can be used to transmit terahertz signals. After the signal interacts with the ic...

Abstract

The invention provides a road icing condition inspection method based on terahertz waves, which comprises the following steps of: mounting a terahertz radar at the front end of a vehicle lamp or on street lamp poles on two sides of a road, transmitting a terahertz signal to an icing road surface at an incident angle [theta]1, returning a back-scattering signal to the terahertz radar after the signal interacts with the iced road surface, and receiving the back-scattering signal by the terahertz radar; and transmitting the received signal to a power meter, and measuring the power of the signal by the power meter, so that interaction information between the signal and the iced road surface is obtained. The terahertz radar is more sensitive to the smoothness of the road surface, the system size can be reduced by using the terahertz radar with smaller size and lighter volume, and the system integration degree is improved. The terahertz radar has small influence on most types of pollution, shielding objects and outdoor severe weather particles; and therefore, when optical sensing fails in severe weather such as snow, rain, fog, haze and the like, the requirements on road surface detection can be met.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of road surface detection, and in particular relates to a method for inspecting road icing conditions based on terahertz waves. Background technique [0002] Road surface conditions, such as smoothness, ice and snow thickness, etc., have always been important factors affecting driving safety. By mastering the road conditions, the vehicle or driver can judge the quality of the road conditions in real time, so as to control the driving speed and lighting mode in time. In the cold season, rain and snow often cause ice layers of different thicknesses to appear on the road surface, affecting driving speed and safety. [0003] The wavelength of microwave signals is on the order of meters, so microwave radar is often used to detect the thickness of ice layers in areas such as straits and glaciers. In 1998, Torgny Vinje, a member of the Polar Research Institute of Norway, successfully applied microwave radar to th...
