The absorbent article includes a topsheet. The topsheet includes or consists of a fibrous nonwoven layer disposed on the wearer-facing side of the topsheet. The fibrous nonwoven layer is coated with a coating composition over a coating region on the wearer-facing side of the topsheet. A coating composition includes a lubricant comprising an alkoxylated diester selected from the group consisting of fatty ester lubricants.
