Abstract

Taking full advantage of processing power of control device, the disclosed method reduces number of layer to handle data transmission and shortens I / O route so as to overcome disadvantages in access speed and control of existing network storage technique. The invention includes interface of memory device, object interface for network storage. Interface of memory device executes protocol oriented to block device level. Through network interface, user accesses storage objects, and is able to carry out pointed operations for objects. The method runs automatically if condition is met, or runs when an event is triggered by user's request. Improving traditional data management and processing mode, the invention uses OBSC to replace data management under bottom of file system and database system as well as part of data process taken by application program at client end. The method is easy to realize function of self-management such as self-recovery, load balancing and hotspot movement.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of computer storage, and in particular relates to an object-based storage controller and a scheduling method thereof. Background technique [0002] Due to the development of network technology and the surge in the amount of modern information data, people put forward higher requirements for network storage systems, but the two interfaces widely used in existing network storage systems, namely block-level interfaces (such as storage area network SAN) and file Level interfaces (such as network-attached storage NAS) have defects. Although SAN has the advantage of high throughput, but because it is built on the block interface, as the number of nodes increases, its metadata management will become more and more difficult. Therefore, The scalability of SAN is limited; the use of file-level interfaces makes NAS have good scalability, but the data path of NAS is not fundamentally different from that of traditional f...
