Abstract

The present invention provides a natural evaporation-type humidifier, its humidifying element and a case for the humidifier capable of preventing fracture of the humidifying element caused by opening and closing a cover, and preventing lateral displacement of the humidifying element in opening and closing the cover by surely opening and folding the humidifying element into the fan-shape or folding it. Said structure in accordance with the invention is characterized in following statements. A recessed space 46 communicated with an internal space 40 is formed on one of walls 44 of a container 12 having the internal space 40 for receiving the humidifying element 18. The humidifying element 18 is constituted by connecting one end of each of a plurality of humidifying pieces 24 by a connecting piece 34, a lateral width B of the recessed space 46 is slightly larger than a lateral width C of the plurality of humidifying pieces 24 at a position connected by the connecting piece 34, and the connecting piece 34 is placed in the recessed space 46, thus the movement in the width direction of the plurality of humidifying pieces 24 placed in the recessed space 46 can be prevented. The lateral displacement of the humidifying element 18 can be prevented in opening and closing the cover 14, and the humidifying element 18 can be smoothly opened and folded.
