Abstract

A protector having a body member positioned over designated portions of a vehicle seat and secured and retained in place by a retaining member. The retaining member can consist of two tie straps. Alternatively, a strap is attached at one end to the body member and removably attached at its other end by a snap assembly, a button / buttonhole assembly or a hook and loop fastening assembly. In another embodiment a hood defining a pocket is attached to one end of the body member to receive a headrest member of the vehicle seat. In a further embodiment, one or more holes can be provided in the body member for disposal around the headrest or post(s) of the headrest member. The body member hangs down from the headrest over a desired portion of the vehicle seat and can be quickly and easily attached / detached and removed.
