A computer interface with a remote communication apparatus for an exercise machine is disclosed, designed as a stationary exercise machine with provisions for an interactive approach with a predetermined program on a computer-controlled interface and with provisions for interfacing two or more such units to allow a sense of competition between two or more people. The present invention discloses a conventional, stationary exercise machine, a computer with a specialized program or programs, a series of apparatuses for interfacing with the individual exercising as well as the exercise machine itself, and a means for interfacing two or more such machines together.

A game pad controller for connection to a portable phone has an outer casing and a game control unit within the casing. The front of the casing has a seat for locating the portable phone and at least one keypad adjacent the seat for user engagement to control a game. The seat has a channel for slidably receiving an adapter, which is either attached to the rear face of the phone or to a holder for the phone. A releasable latching mechanism at the inner end of the channel releasably secures the adapter in the channel. The adapter may be a dimpled hub device. The arrangement allows the game pad controller to be used with any type of portable phone.

An improved mounting apparatus for providing shade, sport, banner and recreational equipment for swimming pool and other locations. The base of the mounting apparatus is comprised of at least one lever activated strong suction cup member easily manually attached to a receptacle unit for accepting and holding vertical pole units, the top sections of which have various athletic, recreational and shade providing equipment. The improvement resides in allowing the mounting apparatus to be affixed to a vertical or horizontal surface, either wet or dry, thus not limiting its positioning or location in a swimming pool or on other hard, smooth, clean and flat surfaces such as on recreational vehicles and boats. These mounting apparatus are readily removable for convenience and light weight and economical to manufacture. Novel handle designs as levers for activating the suction cup members are also presented.

A merchandise locking device for retrofit attachment to a product display hook installed on a merchandise display panel. The locking device attaches without tools to the upper wire arm of the display hook for pivoting movement between “lock” and “open” positions. A laterally opening recess in the locking device receives the lower arm of the display hook and a locking arm, rotatably mounted in the body of the locking device by a rotor element, closes the recess to lock the device to the lower arm and prevent the removal of merchandise therefrom. A simple key carried by store personnel enables the rotor to be released to free the locking device from the lower arm and permit the removal of merchandise. The locking device consists of four elements, including the key, and can be manufactured at very low cost, suitable for mass merchandise applications. Simple changes in rotor components enable the locking device to be operated by different keys, which may be color coded with the locking devices or components thereof. A bracket is also provided for retrofit attachment to the display hook, to prevent bodily removal of the hook and its contents from the display panel.

A sunshade apparatus for shading a chair has a pair of vertical support legs, a pair of attachment elements, a pair of horizontally extending arms, and a flexible canopy element for shading the chair. Each of the attachment elements is attached to a bottom end of one of the support legs and is adapted for mounting the sunshade apparatus on the chair. Each of the pair of horizontally extending arms is attached to one of the support legs with a hinge. A locking element functions to lock the pair of horizontally extending arms in the extended configuration with respect to the pair of vertical support legs. A folding element joins the horizontally extending arms and folds between a collapsed configuration wherein the arms are adjacent, and a spread configuration wherein the arms are laterally spaced.

A table may include a table top, a frame and one or more legs that may be movable between extended and collapsed positions relative to the table top. Advantageously, the table top may include a generally planar upper surface and a generally planar lower surface. A hose cartridge for a peristaltic pump comprises a cartridge housing provided with a lateral recess. The recess is delimited at least partially by an element having essentially the shape of a segment of a circle. A roller wheel of the peristaltic pump can engage that recess once the cartridge is attached to the peristaltic pump. The cartridge housing is provided with two support arms, and a groove extends from one of the support arm along three outer side faces of the cartridge housing to the other support arm. The method includes the steps of preparing a bracket having an attachment portion for attachment with the seat and a mounting wall for attachment with a rear seat entertainment device, shifting a headrest upwardly to expose a headrest support tube and a flange of the support tube, placing the attachment portion of the bracket between the flange and a top surface of the seat in such a way that an opening of the attachment portion surrounds the support tube, attaching the rear seat entertainment device to the mounting wall of the bracket, and fixedly attaching a lower part of the rear seat entertainment device to the back of the seat.

A single use sterile slit impact sampling cassette with rotatable capture tray for recovering particulate matter from ambient air, having a lid with a slit shaped air inlet, dish with an air outlet, and capture tray. The dish and lid assemble to form a sealed sample chamber, which houses the capture tray. The assembled cassette is sterile packaged with its inlet and outlet covered before use. The cassette is placed on a base for operation, which supplies the required vacuum for sampling, and rotational means for the capture tray. Air drawn into the air inlet is accelerated to a velocity that ensures impingement, or entrainment of particulate matter from the sampled air volume onto, or within the capture media. The sampled air volume is evacuated from the sample chamber through an air outlet. The cassette is then removed from the operative base, and then may be analyzed for the target contaminants.

The probe housing has an axial axis, a central cavity lying along the axial axis, and a bottom face adapted for placement on the tubular. A connection system for securing a wall panel shell to a frame member. The frame member includes a groove and the shell includes a mounting member received within the groove. The shell includes a skin member secured to one or more structural members. Each mounting member is carried by a structural member, and is part of a connector that is separate from and engaged with the structural member.
