The invention relates to the field of

medicine, in particular to animal experiments. The invention discloses a handheld rat and mouse cardiac
impulse detector which is used for assisting in detecting rat and mouse cardiac impulse in the rat and
mouse heart blood sampling process and accurately determining the
blood sampling position by fixing the depth of a
syringe penetrating into the heart. The instrument comprises a miniature cardiac pulse
detector, a cardiac pulse
signal and
electric signal conversion module, an electronic display screen with a
small hole in the middle, a
handle, a switch and a
USB interface. The instrument can detect
heart beat signals of rats and mice in real time, convert the signals into electric signals and finally display the electric signals on the electronic display screen in a
contour line form. An operator can determine the area with the strongest cardiac pulsation according to the depth of the color, the
small hole in the instrument is moved to the area, and a
syringe needle penetrates through the hole and pierces the heart of a rat or a mouse for
blood collection. Compared with a traditional heart
blood sampling method, under the assistance of the instrument, the consistency of blood sampling positions and the blood sampling success rate can be guaranteed, and follow-up experiment variables are reduced.
