Embodiment Construction

[0064] As used herein, the terms "coupled" and "coupled" refer to the connection and attachment of one part to another part, whether directly with the other part or indirectly through intermediate parts. As used herein, the term "slot" refers to a space defined by one or more surfaces and may include, but is not limited to, T-slots, closed slots, flanges, and protrusions.

[0065] figure 1 An example of tank system 10 is shown, which is an embodiment of the present invention. System 10 includes a coupler 100 for interconnecting trough members 300A and 300B. Coupling 100 includes a locking mechanism having at least one locking member. In the embodiment shown in the figures, four locks 107A, 107B, 107C and 107D provide a secure connection between the coupler 100 and a channel member such as channel member 300A. Coupler 100 also provides a secure connection to one or more other trough members, such as trough member 300B. Additionally, the coupler is also configured to releasa...

Abstract

A coupler for a cable trough including a terminal end sized to receive a terminal end of a trough member longitudinally of the body. A spring may be coupled to the body to secure the terminal end of the channel member to the coupler, said spring comprising first and second springs extending generally opposite each other in a plane generally parallel to the longitudinal direction arm. The spring may be received in a slot defined by the slot member. A spring release mechanism coupled to the body may also be included, said spring release mechanism sliding longitudinally between a locked position and an unlocked position in which the first and second spring arms engage terminal ends of the channel member , while in the unlocked position, the first and second fingers release the first and second arms of the spring.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a system for managing and routing telecommunications cables and, more particularly, to a coupler for connecting two or more trough members. Background technique [0002] In the telecommunications industry, the use of optical fiber to transmit signals is rapidly developing. With the increasing use of fiber optic systems, fiber optic cable management requires industry attention. [0003] An essential aspect of fiber management is the routing of fiber from one device to another. For example, in a telecommunications facility, fiber optic cables are routed between fiber optic distribution equipment and optical line termination equipment. In a building or other structure housing such equipment, the cabling may be routed in concealed ceiling areas or otherwise routed from one location to another. [0004] When routing optical fiber and other cables such as copper wire, it is desirable that the cabling system can be easily m...
