Abstract

The present invention discloses a multi-media adaptive system among different types of equipments based on UpnP. The system comprises: a media server, a media player and an AV controller. The AV controller is located between the media server and media player as an middleware component, and is used for receiving the content from the media server and transmits the processed content to the media player, and according to the obtained transmission protocol, file format and device information used in both sides, making the adaption treatment for the media content, and sending the adapted media content to the media player. The invention also discloses a method thereof. The present invention is improved based on UpnP AV, thereby achieving the information interaction and multi-media resource sharing among UpnP AV equipments sustaining different treaties and file layouts in the network.
