Embodiment Construction

[0018] Briefly described, the present invention injects compressed milk, air and steam into the mixing zone of the nozzle body. Milk, air and steam are intimately and thoroughly mixed in one or more orifice areas. The mixture then travels to an expansion zone where the mixture expands to ambient pressure. The expansion causes the milk to froth. The frothed milk is then collected with a diffuser and dispensed into cups. The invention can also be used to produce steamed milk by introducing only steam and milk into the milk frothing system.

[0019] Referring now to the drawings, wherein like reference numerals represent like elements throughout. 1-3 illustrate the milk frothing system 100 described herein. The milk frothing system 100 may include a compressed milk input system 110 . Compressed milk input system 110 may provide compressed milk to milk frothing system 100 as a whole. The compressed milk delivery system 110 may include a milk supply 120 , a milk pump 130 and ...

Abstract

A foamed milk system for creating foamed milk from a source of condensed milk, a source of water, and a source of pressurized air. The foamed milk system may include a milk inlet system for the condensed milk, a water inlet system for the water, an air inlet system for the pressurized air, and a mixing area to mix the condensed milk, the water, and the pressurized air.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates generally to a beverage system, and more particularly to systems and methods of producing foamed and steamed milk for beverages. Background technique [0002] Hot beverages such as cappuccinos and lattes are becoming more and more popular. Commercial businesses ranging from quick service restaurants to coffee shops serve these hot beverages to their customers. Although high-volume restaurants can make sufficient quantities of hot beverages, many customers may prefer freshly brewed beverages. Similarly, these customers may also gravitate towards freshly made foamed or steamed milk in their hot beverages. Frothed or steamed milk is usually of good quality if it is freshly made for each customer. However, current technology is not yet capable of producing frothed or steamed milk quickly or efficiently enough to satisfy customers. [0003] In general, frothed milk can be produced using steam, milk and air, whereas steamed ...
