Problems solved by technology

This method induces flowering and early flowering of sugarcane through artificial control of light, temperature, humidity and comprehensive cultivation management measures, which overcomes the problems of difficult flowering and poor flowering of sugarcane in inland high latitude areas, and can not only achieve booting of difficult-to-flower parents and common parents Flowering, and can make cultivated varieties, original species and sugarcane wild species meet at flowering stage, and carry out hybrid combination preparation to realize sexual hybridization of sugarcane in inland high latitude areas, so as to solve the problem of sugarcane conventional breeding and sugarcane germplasm in inland high latitude areas Requirements for Resource Innovation and Utilization

[0012] 1. Parent planting period

[0013] Different species or different varieties within the same species require different plant ages for flowering. According to this feature, different parental materials are planted at different times to adjust the plant age and achieve the purpose of meeting flowering periods.

[0014] (1) The planting period of tropical species, large-stem wild species and hard-to-flower parents is from February to March of the previous year, and the plant age before receiving artificial photoperiod induction is guaranteed to reach 13-14 months.

Abstract

The invention relates to an artificial regulation of photoperiod and hybridization of sugarcane in high-latitude areas in the hinterland. In a photoperiod room, the method of fixing and decreasing the day length is adopted to conduct photoperiodic induction; artificial crossing is carried out after booting and flowering of the sugarcane so as to realize sexual hybridization of the sugarcane in the high-latitude areas in the hinterland. The method solves the problems of difficult flowering and asynchronous flowering period of the sugarcane in the high-latitude areas in the hinterland by artificially controlling the light, temperature, humidity and adopting comprehensive cultivation and management measures to induce flowering and early flowering of sugarcane, which results in not only the booting and flowering of shy flowering parents and conventional parents, but also the synchronization of flowering of the cultivar, original stock, and wild species of the sugarcane and treating with the cross combination preparation so as to realize sexual hybridization of the sugarcane in the high-latitude areas in the hinterland and meet the demand of conventional breeding, and creation and utilization of germplasm resources of the sugarcane in the hinterland.

Description

Technical field: [0001] The invention relates to a sugarcane artificial photoperiod regulation and hybridization method in inland high latitude areas. technical background: [0002] Sexual hybridization of sugarcane is an important way and means for sugarcane breeding and excavation of good genes in wild sugarcane germplasm resources, and flowering is the premise and condition of sexual hybridization. Sugarcane is a medium-sun plant, generally in the area between 8° and 10° north latitude. Most sugarcane varieties can be induced by natural photoperiod from vegetative growth to reproductive growth to complete booting and flowering. [0003] For example, the Sugarcane Research Institute of the Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences is located in Kaiyuan City, Yunnan Province (23°35′ north latitude, 1045m above sea level). Except in special years, difficult-to-flower parents and commonly-used parents do not flower, and the flowering period of cultivated species and wild speci...
