[0022] Referring to Figure 1, the present invention relates to a security device 1 for storing, transporting or disposing of objects suspected of containing a dirty bomb. The device 1 comprises a housing 2 . In FIG. 1 the housing is shown resting on the ground and standing on legs 16 . The housing 2 can be opened and closed so that an object 11 can be placed in the chamber of the device 1 . As shown in FIG. 2 , the housing 2 may be a spherical housing with two hemispherical housings or housing halves 3 , 4 .
