Abstract

The present invention relates to a white light LED light source, in particular to fluorescent powder, a method for preparing and a white light LED light source for using the same. The chemical equation of the fluorescent powder is R[5-x-y]M[3]O[16]: Ce[x]R'[y], wherein, R is at least one of Y, Gd, Lu, Sc, La and Sm; M is at least one of B, Al, Ga, In, P, Ge and Zn; X is larger than 0.001 and less than 0.8; R' is at least one of Tb, Eu, Dy, Pr and Mn; Y is larger than or equal to 0 and less than 0.3. Additionally, the present invention also discloses the method for preparing and the white light LED light source for using the fluorescent powder. The white light LED light source uses blue light to excite the fluorescent powder to generate yellow light, which is mixed with the blue light emitted by an original blue light LED crystal grain so as to generate white light with high photosynthetic capacity that is suitable for illumination. The color temperature of the light source is between 6000 and 7000K, which does not cause the phenomenon that the light color is excessively blue or excessively yellow, and simultaneously the luminous efficiency reaches 100lm/W. The light source has the advantage of long service life.
