Abstract

The invention discloses an operating system switching method based on an extensible firmware interface, and provides a basis for one or a plurality of users to locally or remotely monitor and control a computer containing one or a plurality of operating systems. In terms of the technical scheme, the method comprises the following steps: starting the extensible firmware interface, and then starting a first operating system; suspending a current operation of the computer; storing the first operating system to a secondary storage device; returning to a service state of the extensible firmware interface, and loading a corresponding global unique identification partition table; obtaining a second operating system from the secondary storage device; and restoring the suspended operation of the computer.
