In the method, a time server, a verification system server and a plurality of verification bench bodies are provided; the time server receives exterior time calibrating signals; and the verification system server controls the verification bench bodies to perform time calibration on the ammeter according to the signals of the time server. The invention also provides a calibrating system for the calibrating method. The time server can be free from the limitation of space and position through the communication of the verification system server and the time server, and can be placed in the position with good signals as required under different application environments, and then the problem of the signal quality is solved.
