Embodiment approach

[0027] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the E-DCH allocation request indicates priority. After sending an acknowledgment message to the WTRU 102 to acknowledge receipt of the E-DCH assignment request, the E-DCH assignment request is stored in the request priority queue 114 of the Node B 104 based on the priority indicated by the request (step 212). When the request is placed in the request priority queue 114, the maximum time allocation timer 116 will be activated, and at the same time, the receiving time of the E-DCH allocation request will be recorded. The maximum allocation time is the maximum period of time that an E-DCH allocation request should be serviced before the E-DCH allocation request is finally determined to be a failure. This maximum allocation time may be unique for each transfer mapped to a particular data flow or data priority class.

[0028] Requests within the request priority queue 114 of the Node B 104 may be serviced according to a ...

Abstract

The invention provides a method for minimizing the use of uplink (UL) EU channel and simultaneously maintaining appropriate EU scheduling operation, a wireless transmit / receive unit (WTRU) (102) and a Node-B (104). The method includes: receiving an enhanced dedicated channel (E-DCH) allocation over a UL EU channel, and determining whether E-DCH allocation request can be provided within a predetermined channel request response time period or not; transmitting the response message, to indicate that the E-DCH allocation request has been received; and if it is determined that the E-DCH allocation request cannot be provided within a predetermined channel request response time period, storing the E-DCH allocation request in the request priority queuing.

Description

[0001] This application is the result of a Chinese patent application with an application date of April 26, 2005, an application number of 200580011128.7, and an invention title of "Method and Device for Minimizing Redundancy Enhanced Uplink Configuration Request and Error Isolation Enhanced Uplink Transmission Failure" Divisional application. technical field [0002] The present invention relates to a wireless communication system comprising a Wireless Transmit / Receive Unit (WTRU), at least one Node B and a Radio Network Controller (RNC). In particular, the present invention is a method and apparatus for minimizing redundant Enhanced Uplink (EU) allocation requests and error isolating EU transmission failures. Background technique [0003] Today, methods for improving uplink (UL) coverage, throughput, and transmission delay time are being studied in 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Release 6 (R6). In order to successfully perform these methods, the scheduling and ...
