A system and method is disclosed for providing dynamic multimedia jitter buffer adjustment for packet-switched networks. The system temporarily stores an amount of incoming data, which is dynamically adjustable, for an amount of time before sending the data out in a more even stream. The system includes a decoder clock, a jitter buffer, a network jitter statistics collector, and a jitter buffer controller. The decoder clock indicates the arrival-time of the data at the system, while the network jitter statistics collector collects the playback-time of that data. By comparing the arrival-time and the playback-time, the jitter buffer controller determines whether the data arrived on schedule. Accordingly, the depth of the jitter buffer can be adjusted to accommodate the late or early arriving data.

Audio-to-video synchronization system and method for packet-based network video conferencing

Synchronizing audio and video streams in packet-based networks requires synchronization of packet timestamps. The present invention provides such synchronization without resort to a network time standard. In one embodiment of the present invention, pairs of timestamp synchronized signals, such as audio and video signals, not having a common timestamp clock are mixed. One of the signals, for example, the audio signals, is mixed first while preserving the original audio timestamps. The preserved timestamp information is then used to synchronize the timestamps of the unmixed signals, in this example the video signals, to provide synchronization of all signals. In another embodiment, the present invention uses packets containing calibration of timestamps to reduce jitter. The present invention also includes specifications for a packet for transmitting timestamp information.

The invention provides a method and a system for inhibiting torsional vibration of a power system of an electric vehicle. The method comprises the following steps of calculating a theoretical motor rotating speed according to an actual wheel rotating speed and a preset power system speed ratio; calculating a motor rotating speed variable quantity according to an actual motor rotating speed and the theoretical motor rotating speed; calculating a motor output torque according to the motor rotating speed variable quantity and preset parameters; controlling a motor to operate according to the output torque. The method and the system provided by the invention have the advantages that the actual motor rotating speed is matched with the theoretical motor rotating speed when the motor is controlled to operate by utilization of the output torque, so that the rotating speed fluctuation of the motor is stabilized, and the torsional vibration of the power system is inhibited, therefore the jittering problem of the electric vehicle when a driver of the electric vehicle deeply treads an accelerator pedal or completely releases the accelerator pedal is eliminated, and the comfortableness of the driver in the driving process is improved.
