The embodiment of the invention discloses a method for coverage self-optimization in a long-term evolution (LTE) system, which comprises the following steps of: detecting that a network coverage problem occurs in a district in the LTE system; determining a parameter adjustment strategy corresponding to the type of the detected network coverage problem according to the corresponding relation or the coverage self-optimization algorithm of the type of the pre-saved network coverage problem and the parameter adjustment strategy for solving the network coverage problem; and adjusting the related parameters of the district according to the determined parameter adjustment strategy. The embodiment of the invention discloses a system and equipment for the coverage self-optimization. By adopting the invention, the self-optimization of network coverage can be realized, thereby the network communication quality is effectively improved.
