Abstract

The invention discloses a dimming circuit, an isolated voltage generator and a dimming method for a light emitting diode (LED), namely a dimming circuit and a dimming method for an isolated configuration LED applied to a traditional phase dimmer. When the dimming phase angle of the phase dimmer is regulated, the secondary side of an isolated configuration transformer generates a pulse width corresponding to a modulated alternating voltage so as to correspondingly regulate the pulse width of a drive signal output by the secondary side of the transformer; and in addition, the pulse width corresponding to the modulated alternating voltage can change current flowing through the LED by means of the dimming circuit, thus the isolated LED dimming device can regulate the pulse width and size of the current flowing through the LED according to the dimming phase angle of the phase dimmer, thereby increasing the dimming range of the LED.
