Abstract

The invention discloses a method for detecting single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of cattle Angptl6 gene. According to the invention, cattle genomewide DNA comprising Angptl6 gene is adopted as a template, and a primer pair P (comprising P1 and P2) is adopted as a primer. A PCR method is adopted for amplifying the cattle Angptl6 gene, and a PCR amplification product is digested by restrictive endonuclease ScaI. A segment after digestion is processed through agarose gel electrophoresis, and the SNP of the 2359 site on the cattle Angptl6 gene (GenBank Accession number: NW_003104015) is identified according to the results from the agarose gel electrophoresis.
