Abstract

The invention discloses a slow light adjustable time delayer for a wideband signal based on a coupling cavity and vertical cavity surface emitting laser. The method adopted by the invention is realized in such a way that a coupling cavity formed by coupling an edge cavity and an edgeless cavity is constructed by changing a structure of a DBR (Distributed Bragg Reflector) at one side of the coupling cavity and vertical cavity surface emitting laser (CC-VCSEL) and can be used for effectively broadening delay bandwidth of the device. According to the technical scheme of the invention, the slow light time delay of the wideband signal can be effectively adjusted by adjusting bias current of the CC-VCSEL and the light power or wavelength of an input signal. The slow light adjustable time delayer disclosed by the invention has the advantages of work under the condition of room temperature, simpleness in operation, easiness in integration and the like.
