Abstract

The invention provides a system and a method for adjusting light rays of a projector. The method comprises the following steps: sending a control command to a video camera so that the video camera can immediately capture an image of an object between the projector and a screen, and obtaining coordinates of pixel points in the image of the object within a projection range; judging whether a shape of a person exists in the captured image of the object; if yes, transforming the coordinates of the pixel points in the image of the object within the projection range into the coordinates of corresponding pixel points on a DMD (digital micro-mirror device) chip; and adjusting an angle of a small reflector corresponding to the coordinates on the DMD chip of the pixel points for forming the image of the object so that light received by the small reflector does not pass through a projection lens. By adopting the method, when the person passes through the front of the projection screen, light in the area through which the person passes is automatically off so as to prevent damage of the light of the projector on eyesight of the person.
