Abstract

The invention discloses a novel height adjustable handle for a public transport vehicle. The novel height adjustable handle consists of three basic systems, namely a tape contraction system, a stop system and a height adjustment system; the tape contraction system has five schemes: 1, a spring-gear reel type; 2, a spring reel type; 3, a torsional spring reel type; 4, a torsional spring-gear reel type; and 5, a tension spring reel type. The stop system has four schemes: 1, a type of pressing a tape by using a knurl axis through a spring; 2, a type of stopping the tape by using a toothed plate through a spring; 3, a type of stopping by using step external ratchet wheel and pawl; and 4, a type of stopping by using stepless external ratchet wheel and pawl. A scheme of the height adjustment system is that: an adjusting button is pressed, and an executive component in the stop system is pulled through the transmission of a steel wire rope, so that the tape can move freely; and the button is provided with a return spring. A handle system can be formed by combining any one scheme of each system. The adjusting button is pressed, the handle is pulled to a proper height, the button is released, and the handle can be stopped at a certain height and cannot descend; and when a hand leaves the handle, the handle can return to a high position.
